A general meeting of the Cooktown & District Historical Society is held on the first Thursday of each month at the Cooktown History Centre at 6.30pm.
Members of the public and visitors are most welcome. BYO refreshments and nibbles.
We try to do some bush trips in search of old sites, etc., but it depends on the weather.
New members are always welcome. The cost is $10 per year. Members receive free entry to the display and a discounted purchase price on books and research.
